There are always flowers for those who want to see them

“I stop to smell the roses every morning,” he said.

I’d literally just looked upon my dear friend and asked myself, “How does he do it?”  If anyone had faced the ultimate struggle and pain – it was him.  Challenge upon life changing challenge yet he is the most positive person I know.  It was in that moment that I understood his serenity, joy and strength. It was in that moment that Henry Matisse’s famous figurative words made the most sense to me.

There are always flowers for those who want to see them.

Remaining positive in our thoughts, exuding light in our actions can sometimes present a challenge.

It’s just like anything else worth doing.
Positivity is learned and practiced.  It boils down to some concrete things our philosophy, our attitude, our choice, our truth and being present.

As I live I am learning that we get what we expect to get out of life and what we emanate to the world around us.  I expect the very best of everything this world has to offer and that is my wish for everyone else – especially you, Taj.

We all have our days but it is what we do with those days that shape us.  If we focus our minds on how to remain positive, more and more ways to do so will present themselves.  Shifting your energy when you feel it leaning in a negative direction is a powerful practice. It is then that your flowers appear and you are present to see them.

My philosophy?  Live, learn…and laugh.  Be conscious of how you subsist on every level– only put out what you want to receive.

Find the lesson in every situation life presents to you.

Take it from me – if you make a mistake, accept it and move forward knowing that there is always time to do it differently in the future.

My attitude?  Embrace even the expensive lessons and be appreciative of the learning experience.

Most importantly, never forget to count your blessings.

My choice?  Bliss.  I work at it every day.  Through affirmative visualization, gratitude, my actions and surrounding myself with positive people - I choose happiness.

My truth?  I am a

There are good days.  There are tough days, but I refuse to stop learning.  I work against our cultural conditioning that has shaped us to search for our joy externally.

I work at understanding that I am becoming a better person each day and that none of us are perfect.  I learn from everything and everyone around me and pray that I can be the best mother I can be to you.

Positivity – practice it everyday.  Philosophy, attitude, our choices, our truth and being present.

Living, learning, laughing,

Laterika
